Description of this  Baddeck Vacation Rental    

The cottages on the Chanterelle Inn property overlook St. Ann's Harbour. They feature verandahs, fully appointed kitchenettes, TVs, telephones and electric fireplaces. Cottage guests are invited to use the library, walking trails, and gazebo and pedal boats. They are also invited for dinner and breakfast as well. Breakfast is offered at a special rate of $15 pp. and is served from 7:30 - 9 except for Sundays when the hours are 8-10; dinner is served from 6-8 and prices are based on the menu. The entire property is dedicated to making as small a footprint as possible on the pristine North River Valley. In addition to our use of solar space and water heating system, we serve locally produced ingredients in the restaurant, use only natural and fragrance-free cleaners and laundry soaps. Our hand and facial soaps are made exclusively for the Chanterelle Inn from natural ingredients by a local soapmaker. We use no pesticides or herbicides. And, of course, we are commited to pre-and re-cycling and ask our guests to join us in that effort. Cottages are non smoking & fragrance-free. We ask that guests refrain from wearing fragrances of any kind because they cause severe symptoms in chemically sensitive people: asthmatic attacks, throat clearing, light-headedness, stomach cramps, to name a few. SORRY, NO PETS. The Chanterelle property is near many of the major attractions of Cape Breton Island, including Fortress Louisbourg, Gaelic College, kayaking, whale watching, bird island boat tours, Miners' Museum and the North River Wilderness trails.
